GarageBand is a music creation and recording application for the Mac. It lets you create, record, edit, and mix music with a few simple clicks. You can use GarageBand to create your own songs, or to record and edit music you find online or on your own hard drive.
GarageBand for iOS and GarageBand for Mac
When you have a similar setup, the main difference between GarageBand iOS and MacOS is that the iOS version is used on iPads and iPhones, while the MacOS version is used on laptops and desktop computers. The MacOS version of GarageBand has more sophisticated and powerful controls and capabilities than the simpler and more user-friendly iOS GarageBand.
There is a music typing feature in GarageBand Mac, but it doesn’t work in iOS. It is possible for iOS to turn the screen into a drum kit, a guitar, a violin, a bass, or a piano.
There is a neat feature in iOS where you can simply combine a bunch of tracks quickly. There was a time when you could not do this in MacOS, but now you can.
One of the best parts of GarageBand Mac is the huge amount of presets that you can apply. These include not only for the amp designer, but also for the plug-ins, effects, and instruments. This is not available on iOS.
By setting various parameters for the drum track you want your virtual drummer to play, you can set the GarageBand music library to make it play the drum tracks that you want it to. Now that this functionality is available on iOS, it opens up a great deal of opportunities for musicians who not only like to compose music while on the road but also who practice their music.
