GarageBand will open up a dialog box that allows you to browse your computer for music files. You can use this dialog box to search for music files by name, artist, or genre. Once you have found the music files that you want to add to your project, click on the “Add” button located in the dialog box.

You can use this dialog box to add lyrics, melodies, and other musical elements to your songs. You can also use this dialog box to change the tempo, pitch, and other musical properties of the songs.

Once you have finished editing the songs in your project, you can save it by clicking on the “Save” button located in the toolbar at the top of the window.

GarageBand Does Not Recognize Microphone

If you want to enable the microphone on your Mac, go to System Preferences and enable the microphone. From there, you will need to navigate to Security & Privacy. Under the Privacy tab, select the microphone from the list on the left. Check the box next to an app, so that it can use your microphone.

If the audio input menu does not appear, navigate to GarageBand > Preferences, and click on Audio and MIDI. Then, in the audio input pop-up menu, select built-in input. So if you are using a microphone that is connected to a USB port, you should choose the microphone.

Go to System Preferences > Sound > and check out the external microphone in the Select a Device for Sound Input section. When it is not recognized, you may need to use an adapter for your external microphone to enable it to work on your Mac.
