You might need to upgrade or take care of your external audio interface. Contact the manufacturer for help. Sometimes it is possible that an audio unit plug-in is damaged, or it may not be compatible with your version of GarageBand. You may also try disabling your plug-ins in order to troubleshoot your issue
You might try to reset the GarageBand app. You can go into the settings menu and select GarageBand, and click on Reset.
You may also be using an external audio interface, MIDI interface, storage system, control surface, or plug-in that was not made by Apple. Make sure that all of these devices are compatible with the latest version of GarageBand. Whenever there is a software update, if that is the case, then follow the manufacturer’s instructions to update the device or software.
If you want to use GarageBand on iOS 11, the temporary solution is to turn off iCloud so that you can wait for Apple to push out an update to fix the issue.
